Funding
- Supports projects withGuangdong–Hong Kong or Shenzhen–Hong Kongplatform and collaborative R&D projects with a cooperation element
- The Guangdong–Hong Kong Technology Cooperation Funding Scheme has three categories:
- Category A:Projects solicited, reviewed and funded by the Hong Kong side alone
- Category B:Projects solicited, reviewed and funded by Guangdong or Shenzhen on its ownproject
- Category C:Solicited by Guangdong–Hong Kong (category C(1)) or Shenzhen–Hong Kong (category C(2))For jointly solicited and funded projects, R&D must take place in both Hong Kong and Guangdong or Shenzhen
- Maximum project period: 24 months
- Industry sponsorship of at least 10% of project cost for platform projects; total projectat least 50% of the cost (collaborative projects)
- Intellectual property sits with the lead applicant for platform projects; the contributionAn industry partner paying at least 50% of the project cost, for collaborative projects
Eligibility
- The lead applicant must be an R&D centre or a designated local public research institution
- Industry-partner applicant for a collaborative projectmay be a company formed under the Companies Ordinance (Cap.a company formed in Hong Kong under Cap. 622; or an industrial support organisation, trade association or professional body that can enter into contracts.
Application deadline
The scheme accepts applications once a year
