Funding

  • There is no quota. Hong Kong’s eight UGC-funded universities may also applyApply
  • A principal investigator may submit only one application a year, but may alsoalso serving as a member of another applicant’s project
  • With RGC support, the principal investigator may take research students to Germanyon-site research and exchange at a partner institution, as training and overseas experience for research students
  • The annual budget is HK$12 million. If the application involves bringing alongIf research students go to Germany, the yearly travel grant is up to HK$45,000. If they do not, it is up to HK$30,000. Hong Kong and German institutions or companies may provide extra support.

Eligibility

The Hong Kong applicant, as principal investigator, should fully meet the RGC General Research Fund eligibility rules
