Funding

  • There is no application quota. Hong Kong’s eight UGC-funded universities may also apply
  • A principal investigator may submit only one application a year, but may also serve ona member of another applicant’s project
  • With an RGC travel grant, the Hong Kong principal investigator may take research students to Franceon-site research and exchange at a partner institution, as training and overseas experience for research students
  • The annual programme budget is HK$1,020,000, of which HK$150,000 is for activities in Hong Kongfor conference or workshop grants. If research students travel to France, the yearly travel grant is up to HK$45,000. If they do not, it is up to HK$31,250. Hong Kong and French institutions or companies may provide extra support.

Eligibility

The Hong Kong applicant, as principal investigator, should fully meet the RGC General Research Fund eligibility rules
